I have had a team for PCRF for the past 8 yrs. The team Megan's Angels was founded by myself & Megan's dad Pat in memory my "daughter" (not biologically) Megan Polhemus. Megan was so full of life and such a loving and giving person. Even before she found out she had cancer she donated her hair to the locks of love foundation. Megan is truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She passed away in May 2010 at the age of 18, just weeks after graduating high school. Even days before she passed she was talking about college and learning to drive.
Please join me in making sure that no family has to endure witnessing their child's light slowly fade away. Forever missed & forever loved. Feb. 19, 1992 - May 13 2010
Approximately 13,000 children a year in the US hear the words, “You have cancer.” Help us make sure that those words can be followed with, “But we have a cure.” Pediatric cancer research funding is less than 4% of the NIH funding for cancers. Progress is dependent upon private funding sources.
Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to raising funds that go directly to research that improves the care, quality of life, and survival rate of children with malignant disease. Currently PCRF is funding 11 different institutions across the country. I have chosen to support this four star charity in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to support this important cause by joining our team or donating. Please, consider forwarding this to someone else who may wish to be involved. Research is the key to advancing pediatric cancer treatments and cures. Together we can find a cure.
